Trevi Fountain. This Baroque masterpiece, designed by Bernini, was commissioned by Pope Urban VIII in 1629 to replace an earlier fountain on this site. The fountain marks the juncture of three aqueducts, including an ancient waterway designed by Romans around 19 B.C.
