Bohemian Hall & Beer Garden, Astoria
The Bohemian Citizens’ Benevolent Society of Astoria maintains this popular Queens watering hole. Katherine and I were there to celebrate Katherine's friend's birthday. While there, I struck up a conversation with a guy who had just moved to New York from Chicago last winter. When I asked him where he was living, I was stunned as he described the place to me. It turned out he had moved into my old building in Park Slope--and was living in my former apartment!
