Grand Army Plaza, Brooklyn
Here we have Brooklyn's version of Paris's Arc de Triomphe. The plaza was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux as a grand entrance to Prospect Park. It was unveiled in 1892 by President Cleveland and it commemorates the Union dead of the Civil War.
