8th Street Subway Station

The 8th Street Subway Station opened on June 22, 1917 for the BMT (Brooklyn-Manhattan Transit Corporation) Broadway Subway line. The station was recently renovated, removing a garish and unimaginative 1970s tile design and revealing the original, colorful mosaics currently on display.
